Here are a few of the photos I took on our hike. I wish I had more of the sunrise over the marsh that I liked.  I need to work on that!

Dyke Marsh

Continuing a discussion from the trail, my position is that no image is correctly captured in camera. This is partly because the best camera settings to capture RAW data is not immediately conducive to producing an excellent visible image; and in-cameras settings to produce a JPG (including the one viewed on the camera back LCD), while perhaps reasonable, are not as good as what can be produced on a computer.

All of the images below have been post processed, some significantly — evident because they won’t at all match the same image you shot. The first and second images show a processed image that was then further enhanced. Most of the PP on these images is easy — only a minute or two per image. If you are interested in the techniques used, just ask.

Misty morning

I didn't do anything better or different than what you have already done - on the contrary. Here's one though, from a vantage point from which I've viewed the river and island before.

Here are some preliminary edits from Friday’s shoot near Angler’s Inn. I’m debating bright mist versus gray mist; color versus black and white; and crops; but this is where I am right now…
