Two Outings this Weeks
Hi everyone, I had a wonderful trip to Huntley Meadows on Monday and this morning to Riverbend. The foliage is very brown and muted now but the light was lovely both days. See you Friday. Leslie
Barry--this is for you. Scroll down to the black and white images--especially the grid. Almost too beautiful for the subject.

Images from this week's outings
I was not able to join you on Friday but did go out a couple times this week to Huntley Meadows and to Great Falls Maryland. Rebecca's canal photo inspired me to return. The first two images are from Huntley Meadows, loved the curly vines, and the third is along the canal at Great Falls. I am trying to create simpler images although not always successful. Leslie

Roosevelt Island - Van Pulley
Lovely Roosevelt Island at daybreak.
Even Rosslyn looks beautiful as the backdrop of a dramatic sky.

Conowingo Dam - Van Pulley
The Conowingo Dam near Aberdeen Md is one of the prime gathering spots for the American Bald Eagle, who come to feed on the fish released through the dam in November. I learned how challenging it is to photograph a distant bird in flight. Definitely easier if you can find one perched. I plan to stick to landscape for awhile!
