Here's a few of my favorites from my visit to the Longwood Gardens.

Botanic Gardens 3-20-15
Here are some shots from the first class. I didn't have my tripod as I like to take close up shots of flowers, but I can see that some of the
shots might have been better if I had used a remote shutter release and
tripod.
National Cathedral 3-27-15
Some shots from the National Cathedral. I found it to be a challenging venue, setting up the tripod mindful of the visitors and chairs.
Some shots from the cathedral... I took three different exposures of the stained glass moon window, and I posted the three because I think the differences are really interesting. Probably the brightest one is the more correct exposure, but I like the darker ones even though some of the detail is lost, because it makes it look like you're really looking through a window to the stars.
And some of the tiny distant sculptures high up and far from view...
And some miscellaneous things that caught my eye...
And here's what happens when I spend too much time playing in the digital darkroom...I get a little carried away...so first pic is normal and second is what would have happened if I had taken sketch pad and pastels instead of a camera

Washington National Cathedral, March 27, 2015
The trip to the Cathedral was what I would call an urban landscape event. The weather, once again, dictated our choices. Great venue and challenges. Beautiful!
Botanical Gardens Shoot
I shot these pictures during our class excursion to the Botanical Gardens. Weather was not cooperating!
