DYKE MARSH & SWAIN'S LOCK

I didn't have much luck yesterday at Dyke Marsh so I went to Swain's Lock on the C&O right after class.  First time there--very peaceful!

Dyke Marsh... mostly birds today.

Jill inspired me to try my 100mm macro lens.  I didn't think it would be better than my favorite lens but it was.  Perhaps I should use it more often.  This plant is a Sundew, a type of carnivorous plant about the size of a penny.  The moss is sphagnum moss.
