What I responded to most: second of two similars with tiny blue and black figures in upper right corner; contrasting warm / cool colors and horizontal / vertical shapes; the warm frontlit tangle in the foreground against cool bands of water and rock; warm, translucent glow of veined bluebell leaves in the sun, heron's beady eye and feather detail; brown forest floor enlivened with green bluebell plants; dreamy abstraction of sycamore branch in water.
