The Beauty of Spring Along the Potomac in Virginia!

Due to my tardiness in getting my photos processed, I'm posting photos from the last two shoots (April 14 & 21) in this one post...

First up: Scott's Run (4/14)

The reflection of the trees and the sun in the water was just perfect!

Reflections in water are "cool" even when they aren't 100% smooth...

Each of these tiny flowers was about the size of my fingernail!

I need to go back and photograph the Trillium when it is fully open...

Next up: Great Falls! (4/21)

A study in contrasts - the massive falls vs. a Cormorant.

I enjoy landscape photography, but I love flower photography!
These little white flowers were about the size of a nickel.

Pink Honeysuckle, just about ready to bloom!

Fiddlehead ferns, unrolling those tender fronds.

For Barbara ~ she's right about the details in those leaves!

A different view of a Dogwood blossom.

Diving Into Great Falls Again

Finally spotted a heron strolling along the rocky edge of Great Falls, and wandered through the swamp in search of small bursts of spring. What a treasure in our backyard.
