Winter at Chain Bridge

I happened to be crossing Chain Bridge the afternoon prior to our shoot, and saw the fog in the valley, so I parked and rushed back with a camera.  The first two photos look up, and then down, the river.  The traffic was fierce.  The morning of our shoot it was a lot colder with more wind.  This is my last post - thank you all for a stimulating class!

Jim, jumping out of your car into fog was the right move! So glad you acted on that impulse. Such interesting moody, grey light. Sometimes acting quickly in the moment yields more than longer looking in less favorable conditions - when fog, mist and damp constitute favorable conditions.

Sorry you won't be joining us during last two sessions. You went out on a high note. Hope your trip is offering all sorts of adventures and homecoming.
