Renee: I particularly like the dead leaves with the green. It is a nice, small thing to see among all the confusion in the forest. Your composition is good and the focus is excellent.
Strong eye for form. Looking up shot has the sinuous upward pair of trees for a simple flowing gesture up. Could have been opened up a bit (more exposure, as meter is getting a lot of light from sky but sky could have been rendered lighter, more luminous.
Explore exposure compensation feature on your camera and learn to recognize situations when exposing to the right (on the histogram, if you have one) makes sense.
