Early Spring along the Potomac

A stately sycamore.

Signs of new life.

Beautiful Virginia Bluebells - in Maryland!
To track progress of the Bluebells at Riverbend Park in VA:
There is a Bluebell Festival on April 16!

Another spring flower...
this pretty little blossom is about the size of a quarter.

The C&O Canal, the towpath and the Potomac.

The sun breaks through the clouds and highlights
the soft spring green foliage.

The contrast of the light and dark branches
and their repeating pattern caught my eye.

More beautiful green foliage...and the tree trunks made
an interesting vertical pattern in the background.

Loved the way you captured the lit signs of spring against a dark background.
